We look forward to your continued support of Palworld.<\/em>\u00a0<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/news\/nintendo-and-the-pokemon-company-file-lawsuit-against-pocketpair-palworld\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Nintendo and The Pok\u00e9mon Company announced their lawsuit<\/a> against Palworld developer and publisher Pocketpair on September 19, 2024, via <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendo.co.jp\/corporate\/release\/2024\/240919.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">a news release<\/a>. While the companies wouldn\u2019t get into specifics, they did mention that Palworld \u201cinfringes multiple patents.\u201d The lawsuit seeks an injunction against the defendants (Pocketpair) and compensation for damages.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/news\/palworld-addresses-lawsuit-filed-by-nintendo-and-the-pokemon-company\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Pocketpair has since responded to the lawsuit<\/a>, claiming they \u201cwill begin appropriate legal proceedings and investigations into the claims of patent infringement.\u201d Since the lawsuit came so close to Palword\u2019s surprise PlayStation 5 worldwide launch on September 24, 2024, Pocketpair might have had to compromise by delaying the game in Japan. Seeing as Nintendo, The Pok\u00e9mon Company, and Pocketpair are based in the country and each has its avid local followers, this seems like a logical decision.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1333\" height=\"755\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1333px) 100vw, 1333px\" src=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/20240926-37532-001.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-37541\" srcset=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/20240926-37532-001.jpg 1333w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/20240926-37532-001-380x215.jpg 380w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/20240926-37532-001-768x435.jpg 768w\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>As Pocketpair has mentioned that the lawsuit has forced them allocate significant time and resources to matters unrelated to game development, only time will tell when or if the developer and publisher decides to release the PlayStation 5 version of Palworld in Japan.
