First released in 2015, this turn-based mobile game blatantly plagiarized numerous characters and creature designs from the Pok\u00e9mon series, including Ash Ketchum and Pikachu.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Pokemon \u53e3\u888b\u5996\u602a\u590d\u523b android game first look gameplay espa\u00f1ol\" width=\"1160\" height=\"653\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/TZODbZ-qp4I?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Video showcasing Pocket Monster Reissue\u2019s gameplay and plagiarized assets\u00a0<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>With the offending game having earned upwards of $42 million in a single year, The Pok\u00e9mon Company originally claimed an estimated $72 million in damages and demanded public apologies from the companies involved across all major social media platforms, as reported by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scmp.com\/tech\/tech-trends\/article\/3191000\/pokemon-company-sues-chinese-mobile-game-operators-intellectual?module=perpetual_scroll_0&amp;pgtype=article\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The South China Morning Post<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the latest update from The Pok\u00e9mon Company, the Shenzhen Intermediate People\u2019s Court has acknowledged the infringement accusations, ordering one of the companies involved to pay 107 million Chinese yuan (over $15 million based on recent conversion rates) in damages.
