Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis <\/strong>just celebrated its first anniversary. The F2P mobile and PC game has featured new events each month since launch- but what\u2019s in store for the future? The developers recently revealed their long-term plans for Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis in an interview with Famitsu<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Square Enix\u2019s move towards a \u201cdisciplined pipeline strategy\u201d<\/a> of quality over quantity, has seen a number of F2P mobile titles get closed down<\/a> this year including Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia and NieR Reincarnation. Adding to this list, Square Enix recently announced that the 2015 F2P mobile game Final Fantasy Brave Exvius would end service on October 30, 2024. This has prompted concern from fans as to whether it is worth investing time (and maybe money) into the company\u2019s current F2P titles.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis recently had a Monster Hunter collaboration, featuring special outfits for Cloud, Aerith, Zack, Cait Sith and Tifa. The developers seem to have found this to be a fun challenge: \u201cIt was difficult to balance the Kirin design (from Monster Hunter) with Tifa\u2019s silhouette,\u201d explains Nomura.<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Judging by the comments in the recent Famitsu interview, it seems that Ever Crisis will be taking up the mantle from Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia and Brave Exvius. Producer Shoichi Ishikawa reveals that \u201cWe are planning various collaborations with other numbered FF titles and other events. We will work hard so that the game celebrates not only its 1.5 and 2 year-anniversaries but also its 3rd<\/sup> and 5th<\/sup> anniversaries, so please continue to enjoy playing Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI think some people are playing (Ever Crisis) while they wait for the final part of the FFVII Remake Project to come out, while others are playing it as their main game. I feel like we have spent the past year developing a new way to enjoy FFVII.\u201d Tetsuya Nomura added. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
