The new title will overhaul the original Dead Rising\u2019s graphics and improve playability and AI behavior (making it <a href=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/news\/dead-rising-deluxe-remaster-is-almost-a-remake-capcom-says\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">closer to a remake<\/a>). So far, it\u2019s been <a href=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/news\/dead-rising-deluxe-remaster-will-keep-the-term-psychopath-and-ramp-up-gore-devs-say\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">confirmed<\/a> that DRDR will include even more \u201cextreme\u201d depictions of gore than the original game, but it seems it will do away with one slightly sexual past mechanic.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster - Official Gameplay Overview\" width=\"1160\" height=\"653\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/u4P3iuwsMNA?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Capcom&#8217;s recent press release (as reported on by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.famitsu.com\/article\/202408\/13749\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Famitsu<\/a>), the Erotica photography tag from the original Dead Rising will no longer be a thing in the Remaster. For those unfamiliar with the system, in Dead Rising, you can earn experience points known as PP (Prestige Points) through various activities, one of which is photography (you are playing as a journalist, after all).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The shots you take are awarded a certain amount of PP, and based on the subject matter, you can earn a PP bonus from one or more genre categories, such as Horror, Brutality, or Outtake. One of the categories happens to be Erotica, and this bonus is given for things like upskirt shots and photos of female characters\u2019 cleavage, belly piercings, and thongs peeping above their waistbands.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1182\" height=\"783\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1182px) 100vw, 1182px\" src=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/20240809-35263.jpg\" alt=\"\nA &quot;Perfect&quot; Erotica shot of Jessie in Dead Rising\" class=\"wp-image-35265\" srcset=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/20240809-35263.jpg 1182w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/20240809-35263-380x252.jpg 380w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/20240809-35263-768x509.jpg 768w\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">A &#8220;Perfect&#8221; Erotica shot of Jessie in Dead Rising<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Dead Rising even has a mission in which you are tasked with taking an erotic photograph which scores over 750 PP.
