Akatsuki Games have announced that Tribe Nine\u2019s<\/strong> global closed beta, titled \u201cDeadly Playtest,\u201d will be held from August 9 at 8:00 AM (PST) for PC via Steam. The deadline for registering is July 31. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tribe Nine<\/a> is an upcoming free-to-play \u201cextreme\u201d action RPG that blends 2D and 3D graphics. The game is set in a futuristic Neo Tokyo ruled by deadly games. A varied cast of teenaged characters engage in life-or-death battles in hopes of reclaiming their stolen dreams and freedom. If this sounds familiar, it\u2019s because Tribe Nine\u2019s setting was developed by Too Kyoo Games, the studio led by Danganronpa creator Kazutaka Kodaka.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gameplay consists of exploring Neo Tokyo with your party and defeating enemies to liberate the city. Parties are formed with up to three members, and each character possesses unique skills and behaviors that can be strategically mixed and matched. As you explore the futuristic Tokyo, you will also come across various mini games and receive side quests from locals.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The upcoming Deadly Playtest will allow players to try out Tribe Nine\u2019s beta version and get to know its systems and worldbuilding before anyone else. To participate, you will need to fill out an application form on the dedicated website<\/a>. If the number of applicants exceeds the number of spots available, participants will be selected by lottery. Applications will be accepted until July 31, and the beta will be held from August 9 to 15, 2024. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tribe Nine\u2019s beta test will come with a Creators Program, whereby streamers who upload high performing YouTube videos on the global beta test with the hashtag “#TRIBENINE” will be eligible to win prizes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
