With charming graphics reminiscent of children\u2019s animations, the game has you don the pointy hat of Mika, an aspiring young witch who delivers packages around a small island.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video controls src=\"https:\/\/cdn.akamai.steamstatic.com\/steam\/apps\/256938667\/movie480_vp9.webm?t=1680186302\"><\/video><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Just like Kiki in Studio Ghibli\u2019s classic movie Kiki\u2019s Delivery Service (1989), Mika must hop on her broomstick and successfully distribute her parcels to their recipients. Mika earns money and ratings from customers depending on how well she does her job. This allows her to buy better brooms as well as new costumes. It has since exceeded its goal of \u20ac40,000, managing to raise \u20ac1,300,368 from 24,159 backers (as of July 27). On the game\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kickstarter.com\/projects\/abraham-cozar\/mika-and-the-witchs-mountain-delivery-service-adventure\/description\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Kickstarter page<\/a>, the developers talk about their influences- stating that Studio Ghibli\u2019s films have always been a source of inspiration for their games, with Kiki\u2019s Delivery Service being a particular favorite. \u201cThe Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker was a great visual reference for the art of Mika and The Witch&#8217;s Mountain, especially the bright and vibrant colors,\u201d they add.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"900\" height=\"506\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px\" src=\"http:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/20240628-33105-001.jpg\" alt=\"Mika and The Witch's Mountain Kiki's Delivery Service Studio Ghibli inspired game\" class=\"wp-image-33110\" srcset=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/20240628-33105-001.jpg 900w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/20240628-33105-001-380x214.jpg 380w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/20240628-33105-001-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/20240628-33105-001-600x337.jpg 600w\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Chibig\u2019s previous games include 2020\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/store.steampowered.com\/app\/962580\/Summer_in_Mara\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Summer in Mara<\/a>, which currently has a Mostly Positive status on Steam (out of 1,303 reviews) and the 2023 co-developed sequel <a href=\"https:\/\/store.steampowered.com\/app\/1819450\/Koa_and_the_Five_Pirates_of_Mara\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Koa and the Five Pirates of Mara<\/a> which has a Very Positive status (out of 115 reviews).&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mika and the Witch\u2019s Mountain is scheduled to be released on Nintendo Switch and PC (<a href=\"https:\/\/store.steampowered.com\/app\/1819460\/Mika_and_The_Witchs_Mountain\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Steam<\/a>) on August 21.
