Concurrent players of FromSoftware\u2019s Elden Ring <\/strong>have shot up this month according to Steam DB<\/a>, as both old and new players make sure they are ready to take on the much-anticipated Shadow of the Erdtree DLC that launches this week. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The number of active Elden Ring players on Steam has grown by 110% compared to May, recently peaking at 174, 463 players on June 17. In other words, the fiendish game, which is based on a setting that Game of Thrones author George R. R. Martin contributed to, has seen an impressive increase of 91,714 active players in less than one month.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These figures are for Steam only, mind. According to Active Player<\/a>, which provides rough estimations of player numbers across all platforms, Elden Ring currently has an average of 905,014 players a day- up 1.10% from last month. In our detailed hands-on preview of Shadow of the Erdtree<\/a>, we found that it was painfully easy for even a Level 150 character to get decimated- so we wish all players luck in their preparations for the DLC. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
