This establishes a stark contrast between the dark underground dwellings and Limgrave, treating players to the sight of the grand Erdtree and its golden light.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The world of Elden Ring has a regular day-and-night cycle that is normally not affected by fast travel, although time advances upon dying and respawning. However, as @sadekivi_ puts it, FromSoftware &nbsp;\u201cbends time\u201d to make sure each player\u2019s first step into Limgrave is equally breathtaking. Stumbling upon a Godrick Soldier who is about to be killed by two Misbegottens at Castle Mourne, the player decides to step in and save him. After slaying the Misbegotten, the player notices that the soldier\u2019s knees are trembling in fear as he crouches.
