Many players are finding themselves in bot lobbies after losing a few rounds. This design decision by the developers at Player First Games may have been implemented to give less experienced players a fighting chance, but to many, it just forces uninteresting and uninvolved ways to play.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-reddit wp-block-embed-reddit\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"reddit-embed-bq\" style=\"height:316px\" ><a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/MultiVersusTheGame\/comments\/1d8kabf\/you_get_removed_from_matchmaking_if_you_lose_too\/\">You get REMOVED from matchmaking if you lose too much<\/a><br> by<a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/user\/lionsnuggler69\/\">u\/lionsnuggler69<\/a> in<a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/MultiVersusTheGame\/\">MultiVersusTheGame<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/embed.reddit.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"UTF-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Players on the MultiVersus Subreddit report being cued into bot lobbies after losing as little as a single match (it seems that the final score doesn\u2019t matter). Player accounts with multiple losses are supposedly linked to a timer that removes the users from PVP matchmaking until either an unspecified number of wins is accrued, or a certain amount of time has passed. This bot matchmaking timer has been reported to reset after losing once more, leaving losers in a bot-lobby hell with only two ways out.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1118\" height=\"632\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1118px) 100vw, 1118px\" src=\"http:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/20240607-32102-001.jpg\" alt=\"Black Adam in MultiVersus\" class=\"wp-image-32107\" srcset=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/20240607-32102-001.jpg 1118w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/20240607-32102-001-380x215.jpg 380w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/20240607-32102-001-768x434.jpg 768w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/20240607-32102-001-600x339.jpg 600w\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Reddit user lionsnuggler69 sums it up best: \u201cI have over 200 hours in the game. My main isn&#8217;t strong in the meta, but I love playing them. Unfortunately, this now means that I get robbed of the experience of playing with the community.\u201d Despite its roster comprising various Warner Bros. properties, MultiVersus has characters that are stronger than others. This makes it difficult for those who play off-meta characters like Velma to win against a sea of Banana Guards and Bugs Bunnies. Since losing matches has the potential of pitting players against bots, more people will be inclined to pick the strongest characters over the rest of the cast.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1121\" height=\"630\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1121px) 100vw, 1121px\" src=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/20240607-32102-002.jpg\" alt=\"Batman vs. Shaggy and Welma in MetaVersus\" class=\"wp-image-32111\" srcset=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/20240607-32102-002.jpg 1121w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/20240607-32102-002-380x214.jpg 380w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/20240607-32102-002-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/20240607-32102-002-600x337.jpg 600w\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Bot lobbies wouldn\u2019t pose that much of a problem if the AI was competent, but MultiVersus\u2019s computer-controlled characters constantly whiff their attacks and make bad gameplay decisions. Not only do these bots make it boring to play the game, but players have no way to improve now that they have been stealthily removed from matchmaking. What\u2019s strange is that MultiVersus\u2019 PVE rifts feature difficulty modes that have varying levels of capable bots. Some want bot lobbies to be separated into their own game mode.
