According to developer Kotake Create, this fixes an \u201cinvisible enemies\u201d bug, which was making the anomaly-finding game harder (not to mention, even scarier). However, like its predecessor The Exit 8, Platform 8 also has some subtle and tricky occurrences that may seem like bugs at first but are actually legitimate anomalies.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Whereas The Exit 8 had you cautiously inspect a looping subway station corridor for anomalies and turn back if you saw something strange, Platform 8 has you confronting its anomalies head-on. Moving through the carriages of a train, you will encounter all sorts of odd happenings. Instead of running away from the anomalies, you must try to find a way to move past them into the next carriage (although some of them do simply vanish after you see them). By dealing with each anomaly- you get closer to your destination, but if you make a mistake, you will have to start all over again.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1280\" height=\"720\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1280px) 100vw, 1280px\" src=\"http:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/20240605-31995-001.jpeg\" alt=\"Platform 8\" class=\"wp-image-32001\" srcset=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/20240605-31995-001.jpeg 1280w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/20240605-31995-001-380x214.jpeg 380w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/20240605-31995-001-768x432.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/20240605-31995-001-600x338.jpeg 600w\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/store.steampowered.com\/news\/app\/2903560\/view\/4159716370340391434?l=english\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">patch notes<\/a>, Version 1.0.9 has fixed a bug that would cause the game to suddenly end under certain conditions. (Being blown away is not a bug).<\/em>\u00a0<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Amusingly, some commentors responded that they thought the \u201cinvisible enemies\u201d were a feature, not a bug. Indeed, it was very hard but not impossible to get past them, as the player had to rely on their hearing and some guesswork. You can encounter a wide range of anomalies in Platform 8 and both this game and <a href=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/news\/20231208-23845\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Exit 8 have had players questioning whether things are intended anomalies and even mistakenly reporting bugs.<\/a>&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kotake Create also revealed that if you get \u201cblown away\u201d while playing Platform 8, this is not a bug but an actual anomaly. It seems Platform 8 will have players and Streamers paranoidly questioning themselves about anomalies all over again.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Platform 8 is available for the PC (<a href=\"https:\/\/store.steampowered.com\/app\/2903560\/Platform_8\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Steam<\/a>).
