As announced on series creator Shigesato Itoi\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.1101.com\/mother_project\/events\/music30th\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u201cAlmost Daily Itoi Newspaper\u201d website<\/a>, the event will consist of live performances of music from the Mother series by composers Hirokazu Tanaka and Keiichi Suzuki. It made its way to the North American market the following year as EarthBound. The game is part of the Mother trilogy of RPGs created by the multitalented Shigesato Itoi. Although only the first two games have been released outside of Japan (with 1989\u2019s Mother 1 finally being released in the US as EarthBound Beginnings in 2015), EarthBound has amassed a cult following overseas. The quirky enemies you encounter (including \u201cAbstract Art,\u201d \u201cScalding Coffee Cup\u201d and \u201cNew Age Retro Hippie\u201d) and their equally bizarre and humorous attacks, not to mention the combination of lighthearted and darker elements in the story and settings, have inspired other games since, such as Toby Fox\u2019s Undertale.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"900\" height=\"591\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px\" src=\"http:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/20240508-30602-001.jpg\" alt=\"EarthBound Mother 2 Dali Clock battle\" class=\"wp-image-30616\" srcset=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/20240508-30602-001.jpg 900w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/20240508-30602-001-380x250.jpg 380w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/20240508-30602-001-768x504.jpg 768w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/20240508-30602-001-600x394.jpg 600w\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The \u201cMother 2 30<sup>th<\/sup> Anniversary Live: The Music of Mother\u201d event will be held on Saturday June 22 from 8pm to 10pm (JST). Tickets will be required to watch the livestream- those located in Japan can opt for either a regular ticket (3,300yen) or a special ticket (4,950yen) that includes a paper ticket, a ticket holder shaped like The Runaway 5 Bus and a backstage pass.
