Combining Koei Tecmo (Dynasty Warriors, Nobunaga\u2019s Ambition) and Team Ninja (Ninja Gaiden, Nioh)\u2019s experience with historical settings and dynamic combat, Rise of the Ronin lets you play as a masterless samurai, giving you the freedom to carve your own path and choose your alliances. In an interview with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.famitsu.com\/news\/202305\/29303505.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Famitsu<\/a> back in May 2023, Koei Tecmo\u2019s COO Hisashi Koinuma\u00a0reiterated that the company\u2019s mid-term management strategy was to release titles that could meet the 5-million-unit benchmark. He went on to explain that the Nioh series sold 7 million units worldwide, with the company utilizing their past experience to come up with game development strategies that will allow them to aim for higher sales goals.\u00a0Koinuma added that \u201cUltimately, our goal is to create a title in the 10-million-unit class\u201d.
