He added that he plans to change this in the future.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"FINAL FANTASY XIV: DAWNTRAIL Full Trailer\" width=\"1160\" height=\"653\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/kgiuQwzB6aU?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In an interview with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.famitsu.com\/news\/202403\/11336660.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Famitsu<\/a> published on March 11, Square Enix\u2019s Naoki Yoshida sat down with Another Eden developer Shota Shimoda to reminisce about his past at Square Enix and how he came to lead the new Final Fantasy XIV to success.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The original version of the MMORPG was released in 2010 to commercial and critical failure. Yoshida, with his experience in the genre, stepped up to launch the new Final Fantasy XIV and shape it into what it is today. To illustrate what he means, he gives the example of a side-scrolling platformer with no holes that would cause the player to fall down. Such a game would be stress-free for the player, but it would also lose its excitement, he comments.&nbsp; \u201cI want to put these kinds of things back into FFXIV,\u201d Yoshida announces.
