Capcom launched the \u201cCapcom Super Elections\u201d on February 6. The Super Elections are being hosted on Capcom Town, the official website<\/a> commemorating the company\u2019s 40-year-anniversary. The potential remakes suggested in the survey are giving fans of Capcom\u2019s older titles a lot to be excited about. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Capcom Super Elections consist of a 10-question user survey. Those who answer will receive a free customized wallpaper, and responders from certain countries will be eligible to win art catalogues and other Capcom merch via raffle.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The survey asks questions on things like your favorite Capcom title and character, as well as your opinions on Capcom\u2019s games, but gamers were especially thrilled to see questions that seem to be gauging interest in future sequels and remakes of existing IPs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The question \u201cAre there any Capcom game series (including spinoff games) that you would like to see get a sequel or new game?\u201d offers 20 possible answers, including Ace Attorney, Devil May Cry, Breath of Fire, Monster Hunter,<\/s> and Dragon\u2019s Dogma. On the other hand, the question, \u201cIs there a game that you would like to see completely remade with the latest technology, including character design and story direction?\u201d offers the following options: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In response to the elections, users have been passionately appealing<\/a> to communities, urging them to vote for certain titles in the hope that this will get Capcom\u2019s attention. On Japanese X (Twitter), the hashtag \u201cBreath of Fire\u201d started trending as hype formed around a potential sequel\/remake of the series. This was even acknowledged by the official Capcom Town account, which posted a screenshot and called for fans to visit the Retro Games corner of the Capcom Town website. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
