It seems that the title owes over half of its profits to overseas players, but that it has not performed as well as originally anticipated.\u00a0<br><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Fashion Dreamer - Launch Trailer\" width=\"1160\" height=\"653\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/FJX6PYT1ozM?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Fashion Dreamer is a fashion game in which you become a virtual influencer. You create your own brand, design looks to earn Likes, and evaluate other creator\u2019s outfits. The game allows you to interact with others online and unlock new items to incorporate into your wardrobe as you play.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Developed by Japanese studio syn Sophia, Fashion Dreamer was released on November 3, 2023 and was met with a fairly positive response, as users praised the modern take on the dress-up genre, as well as the game\u2019s high degree of customization. On the other hand,\u00a0 Fashion Dreamer was also criticized for its gameplay feeling too \u201cgrindy\u201d at times as well as a lack of central plot elements. But how well did the game do commercially?\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1277\" height=\"720\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1277px) 100vw, 1277px\" src=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/20240202-26625-001.jpg\" alt=\"Fashion Dreamer gameplay screenshot\" class=\"wp-image-26629\" srcset=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/20240202-26625-001.jpg 1277w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/20240202-26625-001-380x214.jpg 380w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/20240202-26625-001-768x433.jpg 768w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/20240202-26625-001-600x338.jpg 600w\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Recently, Marvelous published a <a href=\"https:\/\/corp.marv.jp\/library\/img\/kessangaiyo3q2024.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">summary of a financial briefing<\/a> made to shareholders. The report reveals that since its release, Fashion Dreamer has sold close to 500,000 copies worldwide. Furthermore, 60% of the sales came from outside of Japan. While these figures do not appear insignificant at all, it seems that the game did not achieve its original sales forecast. The report mentions that the sales target was lowered due to initial expectations being set too high.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the same time, according to the report, the publishers regard the game as being \u201csuccessful to a certain extent,\u201d especially considering it is a new original IP, and see potential in continuing to develop it further. Fashion Dreamers received a big New Years Update in January this year, which means players can still look forward to new content and improvements going forward.\u00a0<br><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Fashion Dreamer -
