The game is available for the PC (Steam), Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. At the time of writing, the game has peaked at a staggering 1,291,967 concurrent users (<a href=\"https:\/\/steamdb.info\/app\/1623730\/charts\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">SteamDB<\/a>). Although the game has been performing outstandingly well, there were concerns about similarities to the Pok\u00e9mon series in the run-up to Palworld\u2019s launch, with some users even questioning if the game could be legally released. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Though more pronounced among Japanese users than among English speakers, Palworld continues to receive criticism even post-release. The criticism largely revolves around alleged plagiarism of the Pok\u00e9mon series and its character designs. This has resulted in heated arguments on social media, with one side defending the title and the other asserting that there is indeed plagiarism involved. The debate around Palworld even led to the words \u201crip-off\u201d trending on the Japanese version of X.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1920\" height=\"1080\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1920px) 100vw, 1920px\" src=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/20240122-25873-header-001.jpg\" alt=\"Pals in Palworld\" class=\"wp-image-25877\" srcset=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/20240122-25873-header-001.jpg 1920w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/20240122-25873-header-001-380x214.jpg 380w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/20240122-25873-header-001-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/20240122-25873-header-001-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/20240122-25873-header-001-600x338.jpg 600w\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>On the other hand, we had a chance to talk to PocketPair\u2019s CEO Takuro Mizobe before Palworld\u2019s release, and addressing this topic, Mizobe mentioned that Palworld has cleared legal reviews, and that there has been no action taken against it by other companies. Mizobe shared PocketPair\u2019s stance on the issue, stating, \u201cWe make our games very seriously, and we have absolutely no intention of infringing upon the intellectual property of other companies.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mizobe has also commented that, in his personal opinion, Palworld is not at all that similar to Pok\u00e9mon, even citing other IPs that Palworld more closely resembles.
