Released on January 17, the budget title is available on PC (<a href=\"https:\/\/store.steampowered.com\/app\/2756700\/The_Glitch_Prison\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Steam<\/a>) in four languages including English.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:26px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"The Glitch Prison Trailer\" width=\"1160\" height=\"653\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/q0DARktrhH4?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Glitches in games incite various reactions from players.&nbsp;Bugs such as a character randomly T-posing during a conversation or an NPC getting stuck on something in the environment can be funny. Glitches can even be useful- bugs that propel you through the air or through walls are often <a href=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/news\/20231129-23450\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">useful for speedrunners<\/a>.&nbsp;On the other hand, who can forget the frustration of game-breaking bugs that make it impossible to finish a level?&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Glitch Prison, however, purposefully revolves around the concept of glitches as a game mechanic.&nbsp;You play as an unnamed male prisoner who has been locked up for a long time. The aim of the game is to use bugs in the environment to break out of jail. Predictably, this results in some pretty weird visuals and wacky physics. In his attempt to escape, your prisoner\u2019s limbs suddenly become contorted, and you bounce off walls and objects, and slip through the floor.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"671\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px\" src=\"http:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/20240119-25841-header.jpg\" alt=\"The Glitch Prison Japanese indie bug escape game\" class=\"wp-image-25849\" srcset=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/20240119-25841-header.jpg 1200w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/20240119-25841-header-380x212.jpg 380w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/20240119-25841-header-768x429.jpg 768w, https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/20240119-25841-header-600x336.jpg 600w\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The game currently has mostly negative reviews on Steam. Ironically, it seems that many players are struggling to enjoy a game about bugs because they are being hindered by actual bugs. Japanese indie developer rentaka previously released <a href=\"https:\/\/store.steampowered.com\/app\/2635390\/Crazy_Cursed_Grandmas_House\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Crazy Cursed Grandma\u2019s House<\/a>, a first-person horror adventure game where you explore a cursed traditional Japanese house. Rentaka is also responsible for 2021\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/store.steampowered.com\/app\/1680700\/Purgo_box\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Purgo Box<\/a>, a surreal online multiplayer exploration game that has been praised for its strangeness and extensive amount of content.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Glitch Prison is available now on PC (<a href=\"https:\/\/store.steampowered.com\/app\/2756700\/The_Glitch_Prison\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Steam<\/a>).
