The \u201cmini\u201d version will also be 18% and 24% lighter than the PS5 Disc Edition and Digital Edition respectively. Additionally, it will boast an increased built-in SSD storage of 1TB and a separate detachable Ultra HD Blu-ray disc drive.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As the third anniversary of the launch of the PS5 and the release of the new model approaches, an article introducing notable PS5 compatible titles and peripherals was published on the PlayStation.Blog. Sony Corporation had even lowered the sales forecast for the PS5, which was revealed in their<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sony.com\/ja\/SonyInfo\/IR\/library\/presen\/er\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> financial report for the fiscal year 2021<\/a>. The supply constraints were reportedly caused by a shortage of semiconductors and global logistical disruptions caused by the spread of Covid-19.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Then, from end of last year to the beginning of 2023, the PS5 became available for regular purchase at most large retailers and online stores. In July of this year, the total number of PS5 units sold surpassed 40 million.
