Aladdin X launched their viral Nintendo Switch puzzle game Suika Game<\/strong> internationally on October 20, and the game has already soared in sales, ranking No. 1 in Download-only titles in the US Nintendo eShop. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Suika Game, the addictive fruit-stacking puzzle game, was developed by Aladdin X as a built-in app for a projector, and was released for the Nintendo Switch back in 2021. In September this year, the game suddenly went viral after being popularized by influencers and Let\u2019s Play streamers, reaching 200 million downloads as of October 18. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As of October 20, the game was finally released internationally as well, and at the time of this writing, it is available in North, Central, and South America, and will be released in Europe, Australia, South Korea, and Hong Kong in due course.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

And in the US Nintendo eShop, Suika Game is already showing up in Best-seller rankings. In the rankings including packaged titles, Suika Game is coming in third, losing only to Super Mario Bros. Wonder and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. On the other hand, among digital-only titles, Suika Game has ranked No.1, overtaking titles such as Stardew Valley and Among us. Incidentally, In Japan, the game has claimed first place in both categories.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since these rankings are based on the number of downloads rather than sales, relatively low-priced titles like Suika Game ($2.99) tend to rank high. However, given how abruptly it rose to the top of the list as soon as it was released, it was likely boosted by the already existing buzz surrounding it in the Japanese community. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, the number of Twitch users playing the game live on Twitch has been on the rise as well, continuously increasing even after the game was first released outside of Japan. On the other hand, the total number of viewers has been declining (TwitchTracker<\/a>). It\u2019s a bit early to judge, but it could be that people are more interested in buying and playing the game themselves now that it\u2019s finally available. On Reddit<\/a>, the game is also gathering attention, with users lamenting over how it has taken over their lives and jokingly warning others not to buy the game because of how addicting it is.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
