Procket released their Saya no Uta AI App<\/strong> on July 28, which can now be played in Japanese and English for free on PC\/mobile browsers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s hard to hear Saya’s replies, but for some reason it becomes easier to understand her as her affection for you rises. On the contrary, when her affection decreases, it becomes difficult to understand her.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The adult suspense horror adventure game Saya no Uta was released for PC in December 2003. It was published by Nitroplus, written by Gen Urobuchi and illustrated by Ch\u016b\u014d Higashiguchi. The main character is Fuminori Sakisaka, a medical student who miraculously survives a traffic accident. As a result of the accident all people, objects, tastes and sounds start appearing grotesque to him, but somehow a mysterious girl named Saya looks normal to him. When she appears before him, he begins spending time with her. However, this is what triggers the beginning of his madness, which gradually begins to corrode the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This work has been highly acclaimed for its distinctive style and script, which is influenced by H. P. Lovecraft\u2019s Cthulhu Mythos. The game has since been both ported and novelized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The recently released Saya no Uta AI App is based on the Saya no Uta visual novel. The game is free and can be played on PC and mobile via browser. The game is said to include language generation and emotion analysis functions based on a large language model (LLM), allowing users to hold conversations with Saya. As the app uses expressions from the original game, users should be warned that it will contain some grotesque content.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this game, depending on what you say, Saya\u2019s affection for you can increase or decrease, which in turn changes the outcome of the story. As you raise the level of affection, you will gradually be able to understand the conversation with Saya better and even hope for a happy ending.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A precedent for an AI-based adventure game that immediately comes to mind is the SQUARE ENIX AI Tech Preview: THE PORTOPIA SERIAL MURDER CASE which Square Enix previously released free of charge. (Related article<\/a>). The murder mystery game uses Natural Language Processing to identify input text, and is based on the original The Portopia Serial Murder Case released in 1983.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Saya no Uta AI app was also developed as a way to test out technology, therefore text in-game may contain insufficient or inappropriate parts in terms of its\u2019 content and quality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
