Japanese indie game developer Chilla\u2019s Art has announced new horror game Parasocial<\/strong><\/em> for Steam. The game is set to be released in 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Parasocial<\/em> is a horror game about a live streamer. The screenshots on the Steam store page for the game show a Japanese town at night and what looks like a streamer\u2019s room. What kind of horrors will be waiting for players in these locations? The game\u2019s title may be a hint that it will depict the kind of relationships that streamers share with their viewers.

According to the game\u2019s store page, it includes a VHS graphical filter that adds extra immersion to the horror experience. In addition to psychological horror elements, the environment art was inspired by Japanese horror films. The game will include multiple endings for players to enjoy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chilla\u2019s Art is a Japanese game development team composed of two brothers who create horror games. They have released many short horror titles, such as The Convenience Store<\/em>, The Closing Shift<\/em>, and The Karaoke<\/em>. Their works have gained attention thanks to being featured in videos created by streamers, which has led to a growth in popularity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Karaoke<\/em> was released earlier this month and currently has a Very Positive status on Steam, with 82% of its 238 reviews being positive. The game follows a high school girl who experiences terrifying events in a karaoke bar while also playing minigames. Fans should expect Parasocial<\/em> to have its fair share of atmospheric horror as well.
