School Idol Festival to end service after nearly 10 years"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><br><br>KLab has <a href=\"https:\/\/lovelive-sif-global.bushimo.jp\/notification\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">announced<\/a> that smartphone game <em>Love Live! School Idol Festival<\/em> will end service at 16:00 on March 31, 2023 (JST).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Love Live! School Idol Festival <\/em>is a free-to-play rhythm game based on the <em>Love Live!<\/em> multimedia series. It was first released in Japan in 2013 before a global launch followed in 2014. The game includes a Live mode, where you play a rhythm game that involves tapping icons in time with a wide variety of songs, and a Story mode, where you can follow the stories of each idol member. You are also able to train the idols that you collect through the gacha system or events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The game proved to be a major hit as a rhythm game that made use of idol anime IP and is notable for including almost every song from <em>Love Live!<\/em> and <em>Love Live! Sunshine!!<\/em> As of October 31, 2022, the game had reached 53 million users worldwide, and it can be said that it played a part in making the <em>Love Live!<\/em> IP more well known.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\nhttps:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=uB0U1pxxXDM\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><br>It has been almost 10 years since the game was first released, which is quite a long time for a mobile game. A spin-off title called <em>Love Live! School Idol Festival All Stars<\/em> was also released for mobile, and a sequel for iOS and Android called <em>Love Live! School Idol Festival 2 MIRACLE LIVE!<\/em> was <a href=\"https:\/\/lovelive-sif2.bushimo.jp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">announced<\/a> last September.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Along with the end of service announcement, the official Twitter Account for <em>Love Live! School Idol Festival <\/em>also posted a <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/lovelive_SIF\/status\/1620317675661721600\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">message<\/a> saying that they will continue to deliver a fun experience to fans with <em>Love Live!
