Players were also able to try out the game\u2019s accessibility options which have been gaining a lot of attention from parts of the fanbase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Here is the feature in action with background sounds and music removed so the accessibility sounds can be heard better. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/R8nngYe2uZ\">pic.twitter.com\/R8nngYe2uZ<\/a><\/p>&mdash; kurominah.bsky.social (@kurominah) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/kurominah\/status\/1578520291424116736?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">October 7, 2022<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In the audio settings of the closed beta version, there was a menu labeled \u201cIn-Battle Accessibility Settings.\u201d It\u2019s here where players could find a wealth of options like an audio cue to show how far away you are from your opponent, sounds for high, medium, and low hits, and a Super Art indicator. Each of these audio cues could be toggled on or off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The video in the above tweet helps make it easy to understand. One setting is a repeating beep that raises and lowers in tone depending on how close or far away you are from your opponent. Landing high, medium, and low attacks also produces different sounds. With these settings, visually impaired players can rely on audio cues to get a better understanding of the situation while playing, and players have been taking to social media to praise these features.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, while not accessibility features, <em>Street Fighter 6<\/em> provides a lot of audio options in general. On top of general volume settings, attack sounds, footsteps, Super Art sounds, environmental sounds, system sounds, and so on can each be adjusted individually. While fighting games have been relatively late to the party, we have seen games like Microsoft\u2019s <em>Killer Instinct<\/em> implement audio settings with accessibility in mind post-launch (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gamedeveloper.com\/audio\/postmortem-greater-accessibility-through-audio-in-i-killer-instinct-i-\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Game Developer<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Tekken<\/em> series chief producer Katsuhiro Harada also took the stage at ePARA Carnival 2022 Spring, an esports event held in Japan, in May of this year to show a build of <em>Tekken 7<\/em> with accessibility settings they\u2019ve been experimenting with. The build featured various color filters and settings to help with inputs. Harada says Bandai Namco is researching accessibility for not just the <em>Tekken<\/em> series, but to implement in other games going forward as well.
