And More! (Doors)\u201d which are clever bits of wordplay but not necessarily poems. On the other hand, the Japanese versions of these names are more like catchy poems that will almost make you cringe when reading them. And unlike the English version, the names feature words and phrases more related to buildings and architecture like \u201c\u5efa\u7bc9\u306e\u7f8e\u5b66 (aesthetic architecture),\u201d \u201c\u5feb\u9069\u7a7a\u9593 (comfortable space),\u201d and \u201c\u30d7\u30ed\u30e0\u30ca\u30fc\u30c9 (promenade).\u201d And since they don\u2019t really match the stages, it feels more like they wanted to get the poems across. Apartment poems have practically become a meme in Japan, so you could even say it\u2019s a little avant-garde of Nintendo to use them in one of their most popular titles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The stages names in <em>Splatoon 2<\/em> were relatively orthodox, so there wasn\u2019t really a precedent from before for using apartment poems.
