The update sees the return of <strong>Matt<\/strong>, a Mii who is thought to be the most powerful in <em>Wii Sports<\/em> history. His inclusion was previously noted by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/news\/2022\/07\/nintendo-switch-sports-adds-matt-and-other-returning-mii-opponents-to-offline-mode\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Nintendo Life<\/a>, but a recent tweet about Matt from Nintendo of America has caught the attention of a much larger number of players.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Nintendo Switch Sports \u2013 Free Summer Update Available Now!\" width=\"1160\" height=\"653\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/3011xghPWm4?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Nintendo Switch Sports<\/em> is a sports game that uses the motion sensors contained within the Nintendo Switch\u2019s Joy-Cons to allow players to control the game by moving their bodies. The game includes six different sports, including Volleyball and Soccer. One sport known as Chambara pits Sportsmates\/Miis against each other in a one-on-one battle using imitation swords. It makes for a fun back-and-forth struggle as you guard against your opponent\u2019s strikes and patiently await an opening to counterattack. Using two Joy-Cons allows you to fight wielding dual swords.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For those players who seek a more demanding challenge, the game also includes a secret code that unlocks a higher difficulty CPU strength. The code was made public within an August 13 <a href=\"https:\/\/nintendoswitchsports.nintendo.com\/en\/news\/#!\/developer-tips-part-ii-bowling-chambara-and-a-secret-code\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">news posting<\/a> on the game\u2019s official website: \u201cIf you\u2019re brave enough to challenge the champions, press the ZR Button + R Button + A Button at the same time on the CPU strength screen while your cursor is on &#8220;OK&#8221; (or ZL Button + L Button + Right Directional Button).\u201d The opponent that you face in Chambara is Matt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Interested in a tougher challenge in <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/NintendoSwitchSports?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#NintendoSwitchSports<\/a>? He possesses a rock-solid defense, unleashes relentless flurries of attacks, and reacts so quickly to your movements that you\u2019ll swear he\u2019s reading your mind. Even the smallest lapse in concentration can prove fatal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Matt first appeared in <em>Wii Sports<\/em>, where he served as an opponent in Boxing and inflicted anguish on players with his terrifying strength. He was next seen in <em>Wii Sports Resort<\/em> as the champion of Swordplay. Here too, he proved a formidable opponent with his incredible power and reaction speed, although his skills are somewhat lacking in other sports like Tennis and Baseball.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite not being great at all the sports, the perception of Matt being an almighty foe is deeply ingrained in the minds of players, even to this day.
