The release date has yet to be announced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"\u5730\u7344\u92ad\u6e6f\uff11\" width=\"1160\" height=\"653\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Tefgm6ERKyw?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The game takes place in a bathhouse reminiscent of Japan\u2019s late Showa era (around 70s-80s), and according to the store page description, is \u201cprimarily a walking simulator genre with puzzle-solving elements.\u201d There are multiple endings, so the game will likely have some form of story branching factors as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The environment art is inspired by Japanese horror films, and the developers explain that it\u2019ll provide an atmospheric horror experience and make use of VHS effects to emulate the look and feel of CRT screens, which will add an extra sense of immersion to the game. There\u2019s an option to turn off the effects as well. Their past works include <em>The Convenience Store<\/em>, <em>Night Delivery<\/em>, <em>The Radio Station<\/em>, and more. The team recently released <em>The Closing Shift<\/em>, a horror game where you play as a girl who works the late shift at a caf\u00e9, in March of this year (<a href=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/news\/20220318-10663\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">related article<\/a>). It has over 550 user reviews on Steam and is sitting at a rating of \u201cVery Positive\u201d as of this writing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>The Bathhouse<\/em> can be found <a href=\"https:\/\/store.steampowered.com\/app\/1956830\/The_Bathhouse\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here<\/a> on Steam.
