Aqualead&#8217;s CEO Hiroyuki Hayashihara stated that it&#8217;s quite a difficult game to port since its game engine is no longer supported and some source codes are missing from libraries. Still, they&#8217;re confident that they&#8217;ll manage. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Switch port is coming out in 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\nhttps:\/\/youtu.be\/62PAdz04lrY\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><br><strong>[Original Article 2022\/04\/19 11:31 JST]<br><\/strong>Sawaki Takeyasu, director of <em><strong>El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron<\/strong><\/em>, has announced that a Nintendo Switch version of the game is in the works. Further information, including the developer behind the Switch version, will be revealed on April 28, the 11<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary of <em>El Shaddai<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"\u3010\u91cd\u5927\u544a\u77e5\u3011\u30a8\u30eb\u30b7\u30e3\u30c0\u30a4Switch\u7248\u306b\u3064\u3044\u3066\" width=\"1160\" height=\"653\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/MnDzHlMgcXo?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The third-person action-adventure game <em>El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron<\/em> released on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2011. The game spins its tale using creation mythology as a motif, and players take on the role of Enoch, a human being who throws himself into battle to capture fallen angels in order to impede the Council of Heaven\u2019s plan to unleash a great flood. A scene from <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/p96ortn0ots\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">a promotional video<\/a> released at the time turned into an internet meme and ended up winning the Internet Buzzword Awards 2010 in Japan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The development team disbanded after the game\u2019s release, leaving their tale unfinished. However, the story was supplemented with a combination of mixed media, including novels and comics, along with a new game set in the same universe called <em>The Lost Child<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Takeyasu first teased a plan for a PC release of <em>El Shaddai<\/em> in 2018<em>, <\/em>and it finally launched on <a href=\"https:\/\/store.steampowered.com\/app\/1581040\/El_Shaddai_ASCENSION_OF_THE_METATRON_HD_Remaster\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Steam<\/a> in September of 2021 as an HD remastered version supporting 60fps\/4K resolution.
