Ryuki Ishii based on the <a href=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/articles\/newsjp\/20220415-199198\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">original Japanese article<\/a> (original article&#8217;s publication date: 2022-04-15 12:59 JST)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Capcom has announced that <strong><em>The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles<\/em> <\/strong>has sold over 500,000 units worldwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles <\/em>came out for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC (Steam) in July of 2021 as a compilation of <em>The Great Ace Attorney: Adventures<\/em> and <em>The Great Ace Attorney 2: Resolve<\/em>. These two games were originally released on Nintendo 3DS and iOS in Japan, and <em>The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles <\/em>marked the first-ever release of the <em>Great Ace Attorney<\/em> games outside of the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">YES! <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/TheGreatAceAttorney?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#TheGreatAceAttorney<\/a> Chronicles has sold over 500,000 copies worldwide! The games take place in late 19<sup>th<\/sup> century Japan and England, with each title featuring five murder-mystery episodes. You play as a rookie attorney named Ryunosuke Naruhodo, an ancestor of the <em>Ace Attorney<\/em> series\u2019 protagonist Phoenix Wright, who must uncover the secrets behind an international criminal conspiracy and solve a series of cold cases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first title was criticized by fans for its incomplete narrative when it initially came out in Japan in 2015. However, the sequel <em>The Great Ace Attorney 2: Resolve<\/em> managed to pick up the threads left dangling by the previous game and weaved them into a satisfying conclusion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles,<\/em> released in 2021, is also being well received by players, earning an \u201cOverwhelmingly Positive\u201d user review status on <a href=\"https:\/\/store.steampowered.com\/app\/1158850\/The_Great_Ace_Attorney_Chronicles\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Steam<\/a> as of this writing. The compilation comes with English audio and subtitles, along with new assistance features called Autoplay Mode and Story Mode. Autoplay Mode automatically advances the text for the players, and Story Mode automates the choice-making and puzzle-solving processes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a comparison, <em>Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy<\/em> has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.capcom.co.jp\/ir\/business\/million.html#tab6\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">sold 1.4 million units<\/a> so far. While <em>The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles<\/em> hasn\u2019t reached the same level of success in terms of units sold, it\u2019s still an excellent number for a re-release.
