While originally born as a meme, it looks like the curious idea is going to be unleashed on the world as an actually playable game. The game will likely be released on PC and is planned to launch \u201cWhen it\u2019s ready.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-4-3 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Bloodborne Kart Teaser Trailer\" width=\"1160\" height=\"870\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/v-3XhuOfV8E?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Lilith Walther is known as the developer behind the unofficial PlayStation 1-esque \u201cdemake\u201d of <em>Bloodborne<\/em>, titled <em>Bloodborne PSX<\/em>. The game was released on February 1 of this year and is available to download for free on <a href=\"https:\/\/b0tster.itch.io\/bbpsx\">itch.io<\/a>. <em>Bloodborne Kart<\/em> looks to use assets from the demake as the above teaser trailer shows The Hunter straddling a motorcycle at the starting line of a race. <em>Bloodborne Kart<\/em> will likely feature a cast of <em>Bloodborne<\/em> characters hopping into vehicles for some racing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The idea of using <em>Bloodborne<\/em>\u2019s gloomy atmosphere for a kart racer has a history of being a meme among fans. While the origin of the idea isn\u2019t entirely clear, a YouTuber by the name of Redtreevortex traced the meme back to a post on Reddit from 2017 in their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=hqOb3ORf6Xg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">investigative video<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the time, <em>Bloodborne Kart<\/em> seems to have just been a logo image. But as it gained attention, one user created a <a href=\"https:\/\/imgur.com\/WVyb0B0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">collage of images<\/a> that looked like actual gameplay. Furthermore, there were attempts to actually make a playable <em>Bloodborne Kart<\/em>. In the trailer Walther released, there is some deviation from the original game\u2019s brooding atmosphere, though, as it sports what sounds like a more upbeat version of \u201cLullaby for Mergo\u201d from the original <em>Bloodborne<\/em>. But just who will be joining The Hunter on the racetrack and what will they be driving? And why are they even racing to begin with?
