In reply to Blu. Its really not that difficult to understand and if anything you only validate the arduos task of design they encountered. They wanted Diana to be an android and not an actual child but there were limited ways to achieve the necessary tone. Complaints about "ugh a GLOBAL audience?!" from individual naysayers is trite and doesnt solve anything.

I’m confused by what he was trying to say. They made her look like a little girl, why do that unless a specific type that needed to be a child. Human looking. It had to be for cute factor and less practical. Arale was a gag character and kind of a terrible example. Why not look to GUNNM, GitS or others?

Trying to make a character appeal to global audiences with different cultures, sense of humor, ect. is a sure why to cripple yourself. Have a concrete idea in mind and execute on it. We know Capcom censors, so perhaps they had hands tied with what truly wanted to do, so one can expect a safe, global product meant to appeal to all.
