Webzen admitted to fraud right there, you promised the developer certain amount money regardless of the revenue the game was putting out.
Webzen is a publisher, if you made a deal with someone, what right do you have to not make a payment because of their financial situation.

Only right Webzen had was to terminate the contract, not manipulate the contract.
Talk about Illegal!

A huge reason why Korea has such a hard time making games and being known globally is because of crap like this. Someone is doing something backhanded to the other.

don’t use publisher, period….
just self publish and save you a lot of headache, but it looks like this developer already sign the paper with the publisher…what a shame

hopefully they survive this, rooting for the devs because i heard so many stories where publisher ruining games

This article seems very one sided, only mentioning Webzen’s side of the story, they are one of the scummiest Publishers in Korea, it’s a well known fact.

Aditionally, the devs did make an announcement, they knew Webzen would try this and that they were ready for it

I generally tend to support the publisher for cases like this, but the actions of the developer seem so scummy.

So basically they're trying to kill off hound13 for not wanting to be with them anymore how petty mate
