I do not think Gacha/F2P will ever truly die, it just evolves and has more realistic expectations than having impossible ones where everyone thinks Gacha will make money as there is only so many users and so little time so only the top 5 will ever truly make money anything outside of that will die within a year. My main contention with these games is the manipulation of users and using tricks than giving an authentic gameplay experience with no trickery involved. There should be a focus on Gameplay being fun and a loose monetization with Animations, Voice Acting, Clothes, potentially even music that is in the background as a store and you can purchase if you miss events, rather than pushing it in the front like some sort of FOMO scheme which promises the greatest drops or pulls with gems or cards, and characters, with a 50% chance, but truly is 10% due to advertising never needing to be honest in America or these limited time events that are designed for login bonuses. It's truly predatory to take advantage of people who feel like they will not be able to catch up with friends, and I dislike it because there are people who are getting addicted to it including children due to it's softcore gambling nature.

This is not to say I think nobody does F2P right, I think the real successful one is not Genshin Impact or anyone from Japan, China or even South Korea. But Team Fortress 2 with a fun gameplay system with friends, I can buy any outfit, any animation, even purchase clothes that are themed events from 10 years ago if I would like, custom animations, voice acting, weapons are cosmetic, and the only premium key is 6$ and allows all the normal weapons to be used in the game which counts as a full purchase which is the only amount I paid for the whole game ever, it has no FOMO, no cards, none of the schemes saying they have the best "drops" the best rates nothing being pushed in front of me at all. Valve learned early how to make a good experience without trying to push things in the front to other users, China and the rest of Asia have not. Until Asia learns they will never succeed or even have a long term future with Gacha and it will be an even smaller pond than it is now with fewer fish.
