I would argue that there are good games that can run below 30FPS, but to say that there is no difference between 30fps and 60fps, also that 30fps is better than 60fps is not telling the whole story. I mean all you need to do is use Youtube and go in the settings and try to put your options from Resolution/60fps to 30fps and you will see a dramatic difference. There is no competition, You will never desire to go back to 30fps IF the hardware can support it and games take advantage of the hardware and it's supportive features.

Also granted newer critically acclaimed games run below 30 fps but i notice the examples with Nintendo is due to it being a handheld which makes it an exception to the rule because handhelds and especially Cell Phones which are underpowered by default due to the battery needing to not use as much power. The technical mastery is being praised in this instance of how a Open World like BOTW managed to exist is amazing. But consoles like PS5 should be able to run games at 60fps because it's way more powerful than the handhelds themselves especially with such a huge hardware upgrade this time around compared to last gen with dramatic uplifts instead of a small one. You can tell they are focusing way too much on higher textures, and high detailed models everything needs to be 1280p upscaled to 4k, this is weighing down the rendering process and hardware by creating a bottleneck for framerate due to the fact the hardware can not support high end graphics without compromising on framerate.

Console manufacturers and bigger companies need to begin to go back to focusing on more stylistic and visually appealing games that are not hardware intense like high end graphics are. The reason being is that higher framerates are more important the lower you go in a hardware stack below PC. Because it's the one thing Consoles can easily be a value proposition above PC's on. PC can not be beaten on graphics, it's a losing battle, but on FPS it can actually be made that it can be better value. This worked in the PS2 era. Also i can understand 24fps or even 30fps if it's for stylistic reasons on cutscenes or certain effects of a level or things like that, but overall it should not be common ground when hardware is much better than it was 20 years ago, but games have regressed behind PC's where PC's are now hitting 120fps as the standard, and Consoles can not even get 60fps as standard, but only have 30fps or a small bump of 45fps.
