Tbf, even Kickstarter and such seemed incredibly sketchy at first, and then there are cases (not sure if it applies here) where Kickstarter wouldn’t be available in a given country, so sometimes you have to test the field. It’s also entirely possible that there is something the group is overlooking about how the finances would be set to be distributed that could account for this, there’s just a lot we don’t know from this article alone 🤔
