If the game is so bad people don’t want to buy it after seeing it, the guy did a service for the community. Gameplay videos are on one hand (sometimes) free advertisement , on the other hand are also secondary content, the streamer entertaining the audience. Sometimes I don’t feel like playing, I rather watch someone play and that in itself proves that there’s added value and it’s a different kind of entertainment.
